ANZGOG Board
The ANZGOG Board of Directors currently consists of 14 Directors, including 13 elected Directors and the ANZGOG Executive Officer. The majority of the ANZGOG Board members have direct involvement in clinical trials and or patient care relating to gynaecological cancer.
The ANZGOG Board oversees the complete governance of the organization. This includes the validation of ANZGOG policies and procedures, reviewing and implementing administrative and financial objectives; developing the ANZGOG clinical trial portfolio; initiating and maintaining liaisons with national and international clinical trial groups, thus steering the overall strategic direction of the organisation to meet its gynaecological oncology research objectives. The Board further appoints five members from its ranks to fill the role of Committee Chair to each of the five ANZGOG committees created under the umbrella of the Board to help ensure the achievement of its overall purpose and objectives.
The ANZGOG Board meets face-to-face at least twice a year and holds meetings via teleconference at least 3 times a year. The chair and the members of the Board hold office for a period of two years and are eligible for re-election. The retiring Chair remains on the Board for two years following the election of a new Chair.
