Consumer / Community Sub-Committee
 

Terms of Reference

The Consumer/Community Committee shall assist ANZGOG achieve its objectives and purposes by acting as an interface between people who have been touched by gynaecological cancer and the wider community.

Furthermore, the CCC shall assist ANZGOG by providing guidance, support, information and advice by contributing to discussion and reporting to the ANZGOG Executive.


Composition

The Chair of the CCC shall be appointed by the Executive and will serve on the Executive Committee.

The committee shall consist of the
a) Chair,
b) Deputy Chair (appointed by the committee),
c) Chair Elect
d) Past chair
e) A representative of each of the States and Territories of Australia and New Zealand where ANZGOG clinical trials are conducted.

The appointments to the CCC shall be approved of by the Executive.

Members of the CCC can be nominated by any existing ANZGOG member/supporter. Should nominations exceed positions a list of candidates names in alphabetical order shall be presented to the committee for voting and then approved by the Executive.

The CCC shall with the approval of the Executive nominate one of their members to hold the position of CCC Chair elect. This person so selected shall hold office only until the next following Annual General meeting where such position shall be ratified by being subject to the election process. Such a person will hold office for a period of two (2) years and will be formally elected to the roll of Chair CCC at an Annual General Meeting held when the current chair’s term of office is concluded.

The retiring chair of the CCC shall remain on the committee for a period of two (2) years after such retirement.

The Chair of the CCC will provide a report to the Annual General Meeting on the activities carried out by the CCC.
